Owner Mikayla Parsons had no idea what she wanted to be when she grew up, but she knew that her hard earned degree in Geographical Studies had her landing somewhere between professional cartographer and climatologist, and that just wasn't her speed. So, she did what any 25 year old fresh out the gates would do. She took out a loan to purchase a boutique specializing in silk floral arrangements and exotic home decor in the town center where she grew up. The first year was a learning experience to say the least, but she forged ahead, knowing that she had an idea of her perfect shop. 

With the support of amazing family, friends, her shop dog Leo, and a stellar design firm, she collaborated with some magnificent small businesses to create Tayla Mac boutique. Starting with a complete renovation of the space, she then reconsidered the inventory and rebranded her shop, resulting in an eclectic variety of gifts and clothing. Mikayla prides herself on featuring as many local artisans and makers as possible, and is determined to carry only ethically produced goods in her store.
